The glacial-capped Strahlhorn offers a majestic alpine experience and is the perfect mountain for strong ski mountaineers who enjoy a long ascent.
After around 3 hours of climbing, you reach the Adlerpass, where the first views over the Western Alps open up. The final ascent leads across a broad ice field to a long summit ridge. From February to March, the Strahlhorn can be done as a day trip from the Metro Alpin middle station. From April onwards, an overnight stay is required until the closing of Britannia Hut.
