A big descent
Easy climb
A moderate 300-metre ascent takes around one to two hours and leads you away from the ski area into impressive high-alpine surroundings.
High-alpine terrain
Travel across glaciated terrain under the supervision of a certified mountain guide, with the route adapted to current snow and avalanche conditions.
1,700 metres down
Enjoy a long descent through powder or spring snow, finishing in Saas-Almagell with the return shuttle included.

Fitness
A good average fitness level is required for the 300-metre ascent and the long 1,700-metre descent.
Technique
No previous touring experience is required, but good off-piste skiing or snowboarding skills are essential. You must be able to control your speed and turns confidently in variable, ungroomed snow.
All our ski tours are open to splitboarders. However, a higher technical level is required on a splitboard because transitions, traverses and flat sections are generally more demanding than on touring skis.

Hanging Glacier
After a short ascent, the route crosses spectacular high-alpine terrain before beginning the long descent towards Saas-Almagell.
Depending on current snow and avalanche conditions, your mountain guide may adapt the exact route.

Lift tickets are not included.
The shuttle from Saas-Almagell is included.
Equipment
Touring equipment, a climbing harness and an avalanche rescue kit are required. Technical equipment can be rented through Saas-Fee Guides, subject to availability.
