Rimpfischhorn 0 m From Britannia Hut
The Rimpfischhorn cannot be easily reached from any side. Its exposed rocky summit section makes it a particularly exciting alpine objective.
Starting from the Britannia Hut, the route crosses the Allalin Glacier to the Allalin Pass, then continues over the Mellich Glacier to the Rimpfischsattel before the final rock climb to the summit.

Very good fitness is required for the long 1300 m ascent, the remote glacier terrain and the demanding descent.
Technique
Difficult glacier and rock tour.
Previous mountaineering experience is required.
The final summit section includes about one hour of rewarding rock climbing around difficulty level 2-3.

Route map
From the Britannia Hut, the route leads across the Allalin Glacier to the Allalin Pass, then over the Mellich Glacier to the Rimpfischsattel.
From there, a rewarding rock climb of approximately one hour leads to the summit at 4199 m.

Prices are exclusive of hut costs and lift tickets.
Tour is only possible with crampon experience.
