Start of this day tour is at 3500 m, the Mittelallalin top station. The first part of the ascent follows the standard Allalin route to Fee Joch (3808 m).
The traverse to Fee Kopf and Alphubeljoch (3770 m) offers an easy and varied high alpine ridge climb before the final ascent over the southeast ridge, known as “the ice nose”.

A very good fitness level is required for the long ascent, the high altitude and the 1300 m descent to Längfluh.
Technique
Medium difficult glacier and rock tour.
Crampon experience is required.
Safe walking on crampons is necessary, especially for the descent over the initially steep Fee Glacier.

Route map
From Mittelallalin to Fee Joch, Fee Kopf and Alphubeljoch, then over the southeast ridge to the Alphubel summit.
The final ascent leads over the southeast ridge, known as “the ice nose”, to the broad Alphubel summit at 4206 m.
The descent is flanked by dramatic ice formations on the Fee Glacier and leads down to the Längfluh station (2867 m).
