Alphubel
with Helicopter
0 m

The most convenient way to climb the Alphubel, with a helicopter flight from Zermatt to the Alphubeljoch and a shorter final ascent to the summit.

This option is definitely the most convenient way to climb the Alphubel. It offers maximum flexibility, especially when lifts and huts are not yet open or already closed.

We fly by helicopter from Zermatt to the Alphubeljoch at 3836 m. From there, the final 400 meters of ascent lead either over the ice nose or through the east couloir to the summit, depending on conditions.
