Ski Tour
Starting from the Britannia Hut, ascend across the Allalin Glacier to the Allalin Pass before continuing via the Mellich Glacier to the Rimpfischsattel.
The final section is a scenic and exposed rock climb graded UIAA II–III. It takes approximately one hour and leads directly to the summit.

Glaciers & rock
Glacier approach
Leave the Britannia Hut and cross the Allalin Glacier to the Allalin Pass before continuing onto the Mellich Glacier.
Rimpfischsattel
Continue through remote glaciated terrain to the Rimpfischsattel at the foot of the final summit section.
UIAA II–III rock
Finish with approximately one hour of scenic and exposed climbing before reaching the summit at 4199 m.
Levels
Fitness
Excellent fitness is required for an ascent of approximately 1300 m in seven hours, followed by a descent of around 1300 m in four hours.
Technik
Previous ski-touring and mountaineering experience is required. You must have good off-piste skills and be comfortable on exposed UIAA II–III rock terrain.
All our ski tours are open to splitboarders. However, a higher technical level is required on a splitboard because transitions, traverses and flat sections are generally more demanding than on touring skis.

Route
Rimpfischhorn 4199 m
From the Britannia Hut, cross the Allalin Glacier to the Allalin Pass, continue via the Mellich Glacier to the Rimpfischsattel, and complete the exposed rock climb to the summit.
This is a long and remote alpine route. Snow, glacier, rock and avalanche conditions determine the exact itinerary and whether the tour can proceed.

The shuttle from Täsch or Saas-Almagell, hut fees, the mountain guide’s overnight stay (CHF 45.–), and the cable car to Felskinn are nicht im Preis inbegriffen.
After the official season, there is one daily ascent to Felskinn at 16:15 and one return to Saas-Fee at 16:30.
Equipment
Touring skis or a splitboard, skins, ski crampons, boot crampons, a climbing harness, and an avalanche rescue kit are required. Technical equipment can be rented from Saas-Fee Guides, subject to availability.
