Get familiar with touring skis or a splitboard, skins, touring bindings and the essential equipment needed to move efficiently in winter terrain.

Aufstieg

Learn to climb

Practise putting on skins, using bindings in “walk” mode and climbing efficiently with touring skis or a splitboard.

Alpine terrain

Leave the slopes

Take your first steps in alpine terrain and learn the fundamental principles of terrain choice, avalanche awareness and safe movement away from marked pistes.

Levels

Fitness

Only basic fitness is required. The course uses short ascents and is designed as an accessible first introduction to touring.

Technik

No previous touring experience is required. You should already feel comfortable skiing or snowboarding confidently on demanding pistes.

You should be comfortable on black runs.
